Event Summary

A developing area of low pressure along the Gulf Coast will rapidly intensify as it tracks Northeast. The low will continue to lift Northeast tracking across eastern Long Island and into the Canadian Maritime by Friday evening. This will result in a significant precipitation event across the Tri-State region with 3 To 4 inches of rain expected by tomorrow morning with a wintry mix likely across the northwest interior sections tonight.
