Event Summary

Outage of all desk phones, and internet access. Agency issued cell phones were still operational but no phones or internet prevented us from taking death reports and working on cases borough to borough (including verifying cases before check out to funeral directors). COOP plans were activated for our communications department and flip phones were utilized for taking calls from NYPD and hospitals. Case check out was in process of being verified from our Ops Center on a case by case basis when the system came back up and it was unnecassary to continue COOP.
