Narrative
As scattered severe thunderstorms moved east-southeast across the region, they produced high winds that downed trees and power lines and produced hail at least 3/4-inch in diameter. The most significant damage occurred in Oyster Bay and Medford. Several 3 to 4 foot diameter trees were downed in Oyster Bay. A wind gust to 67 mph in Medford downed several large tree limbs and power lines and also caused a tent to collapse.
