Event Summary

Narrative

A severe thunderstorm passed quickly across Kennedy Airport in Queens county. This thunderstorm was one of many that formed along and ahead of a cold front that moved across southeastern New York. Winds gusted to 60 knots at the time the thunderstorm was in progress at the airport. Very heavy rains accompanied the storms which did produce some street and highway flooding.
