Event Summary

An intense storm over Maine produced high winds across the area. Winds gusted from 50 to nearly 70 MPH and caused numerous trees and power lines to fall. In Brooklyn, a person was killed after being struck by a fallen tree. On the New York State Thruway near Harriman, a motorist was injured when a tree fell on the car.
