Event Summary

Low pressure along a slow moving cold front off the eastern seaboard brought locally heavy snow to portions of southeast New York. A strong upper jet stream enhanced the snow across the Tri-State as the low pressure passed well offshore. The Observer at La Guardia Airport measured 4.5 inches of snow.
