Event Summary

As a cold front moved east toward a warm moist unstable air mass, it produced severe thunderstorms that caused damaging winds across Queens, Orange, and Putnam Counties. High winds downed numerous trees and wires in Flushing. One tree fell on a car and another tree fell on a house.
