Narrative
A frontal system associated with a large cutoff low pressure system over the Midwest and Lower Great Lakes region caused periods of heavy rain, which resulted in continued flooding across Westchester and Rockland Counties as well as the Bronx in New York City. The Bronx River at New York Botanical Gardens remained in flood from April 30. The river crested at 3.68 ft. at 3:00 am EST on May 1 and fell back within its banks at 10:15 am EST.
