Event Summary

A pre-frontal trough ahead of a cold front triggered numerous showers and thunderstorms. These storms produced heavy rain, which resulted in flash flooding across portions of The Lower Hudson Valley and New York City. A car was stranded in flood waters on Vespa Ave. near Arden Avenue. The westbound Staten Island Expressway was closed at Renwick Ave. due to flooding.
