Event Summary

Narrative

An occluded front associated with a cutoff low pressure system slowly advanced towards the area from the south. Thunderstorms training over the same area produced heavy rain that coincided with high tide, which resulted in flash flooding across parts of Southern Brooklyn. The Belt Parkway was impassable near exit 6 in Coney Island.
