Event Summary

Severe storms, associated with a warm front just to the north of the Tri-State, moved southeast into the region. A couple of these storms impacted parts of the Lower Hudson Valley and New York City. Power lines were reported down in Middle Village in between 60th and 62nd Avenues on the north and south and 69th Place and 71st Street on the west and east. A man was struck by lightning along Eastern Avenue in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn. A woman was struck by lightning along Garden Street in the Belmont section of the Bronx.
