The remnants of Hurricane Jeane dropped anywhere between 3 and 6 inches across Southeastern New York State on September 28th. This resulted in numerous occurrences of flash flooding across the area. All lanes closed on Route 440 due to flash flooding. FDR Drive closed due to flash flooding. Bronx River Parkway closed at Hartsdale due to flash flooding. Belt Parkway closed due to flash flooding. Major highways and roads closed due to flash flooding. Sawmill River Parkway closed due to flash flooding. FDR drive closed due to flash flooding. Numerous roads closed due to flash flooding. Belt Parkway closed. Route 440 closed due to a foot of water on the road. Significant street flooding in Graves End. FDR drive closed once again due to flash flooding. Roads closed due to flash flooding.
